Graphic Design School Split
A secondary school in Split teaching graphic design, animation, multimedia, video production and web interface design. A school like this should be where a fifteen year old finds out that taste is a skill, and that questioning the brief is part of the job.
Problem
The identity has been carried for thirty years. Gray, overcast tones that read as gloom to the people it is meant to attract, and provoke nothing at all. The typography changed every few years, so there is no consistency to inherit. The website is not a modern equivalent of anything. And it has to land with two audiences at once: the kids choosing a school, and the parents signing the form.
Solution
A new mark, and a typeface consistent enough to hold it everywhere. Pattern, a defined photography treatment, a brand book, and a website. Together they give the school something to be recognized by, in the places young people actually look.
